JOHN 14:25-26 ~  “PUSH, PLAY/PAUSE/STOP/FAST FORWARD”

25 “I have told you these things while I am still with you. 26 But the [a] Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

Imagine how different life’s outcomes might be if every Christian relied upon and realized they have been empowered with an “Internal control” in the person of the Holy Spirit who functions as our Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strength, and Sustainer!  2 Peter 1:3, is the Christian’s assurance,By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence,” and serves as a reminder that the Christian life is not to be controlled by circumstances but through self-control and discipline!  As we enter into the second month of the New Year, I encourage you to trust the Holy Spirit to:

I. Give you the power to mentally, “Push PLAY, advance, move past the mistakes, disappointments, discouragements, pain, hurt, trials, tribulations, or obstacles, in faith and in Jesus’ name!

II. Remain steadfast and do not panic when the enemy attacks and comes against you with great force but instead press PAUSE and go before the Lord in prayer and thanksgiving!

III. STOP rewinding and reacting to life’s challenges and know that everything concerning you is being orchestrated by God and No weapon will be able to hurt you; you will have an answer for all who accuse you. I will defend my servants and give them victory [Isaiah 54:17GNT]

IV. Finally, FAST FORWARD, in the work that God has assigned to you, Stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us,” [Hebrews 12:1bAMP].
